Pohi

For the past few weeks in Maori we’ve been working on the topic Kōrero ā-waha and Pānui pukapuka that I have completed this term.  For Kōrero ā-waha I had to record myself speaking in Maori about 1 day that was kind of busy in lockdown. For Pānui pukapuka I had to translate a Maori book in english and break it into 5 parts and find Maori words that I don’t understand and know. Here is an example of my Pānui pukapuka.

PUKAPUKA:

Sequence the storyline into 5 sections. Write in te reo Māori or Pāheka

NZ Entrepreneur

Kia ora, in this unit my class has been studying New Zealander entrepreneurs. The entrepreneur I have chosen is Stephen Tindall. Stephen Tindall was the founder of New Zealand's Warehouse. The Warehouse was invented in 1982 and it has become one of the most successful and worthy companies made in New Zealand.

Leadership and Government

Our topic for this unit is leadership and government. In my opinion it’s to lead someone or a larger group of people. Attaining an aim to lead your people to success. Democracy is related to the government in ways of people having the right to vote/having a say. My understanding is that the government is a form of detailed number of politicians leading the country due to the citizens voting system. Because the government leads the country full of humans and decides what is best for them. This is quite similar to school like the government being the staff/principals. Leadership is related to the prefects of the school and how they show leadership. In the way of having to test my knowledge to see if I learnt anything in  the time given. Basically digging everything that I can find in my brain. This research project could possibly progress in my knowledge for becoming an action change for me or anyone around me, (for the future). Leadership and Government is a form of a leader leading their citizens of the country and peoples authority of everyone's individual choice of governor, due to voting. The Government has requirements of having fundings for Marae, Roads, Streets, Parks etc to make our issues better.

Is Non-nicotine vaping less harmful than nicotine vaping?

Kia ora, In this unit we've started on our next topic science fair. I have been given an opportunity to choose with my partner, Ocean to investigate if non-nicotine vaping is less harmful than nicotine vaping?. We will be looking into different vapes, health problems etc. Our hypothesis prediction is if non-nicotine and nicotine vaping actually leads to popcorn lungs. Which one are you choosing that is less harmful?

Leadership Speech

For this unit I had to do a speech based on what I view as a leader.

A leader is you, a leader is kind, A leader is someone who leads from behind, A leader is you, a leader is wise, A leader is someone we do not despise, A leader is you, a leader is nice, A leader is someone who gives good advice, A leader is you, a leader is weird, A leader is someone we do not fear, A leader is you, a leader is me,A leader is someone who we can believe,A leader is you, a leader is me,A leader is someone anyone can be.The amount of speeches that I’ve heard before me or am going to hear about a true leader is somewhat similar to mine but this is my intake on what a true leader is, There’s never really a go in life without a leader or leaders per say but now days there is multiple leaders in all different variety of matter. From what I researched the meaning of a leader is to motivate people who desire to achieve a frequent goal and also to basically lead.Leaders motivate humans such as yourselves to do what is right and to at least attain an aim, leaders hold the importance in what they truly believe in, leaders take charge in whom they can trust to make a franchise out of something they are passionate about. Leaders show the responsibilities in their peers they beloved work with, in the piece of art that they consume to create, in what they take out of the experience that they’ve made. True leaders lead with confidence, with no hesitation and with right.I have come to the conclusion of my speech and I will leave you with a quote, A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way and shows the way. Thank you.

Schindler's List Summary

The holocaust is a crucial event that took the lives of many Jews and had almost wiped out the whole population . They were fortunate enough to come across one man who was able to make a change. Oskar schindler. He was able to save around 1,200 out of over six million Jews and help find justice. Even though he was very disappointed in the amount of Jews he saved, he was still able to save a good amount in order to repopulate their nation.

Oskar Schindler saved 1,200 people. I learned quite a bit even though I didn’t get the chance to watch the whole movie but what I got out of the movie, in my opinion, it’s important to learn and know about this movie.

Personally I think that the German’s or Nazi’s were very disgusting and what i mean by the word/expression “disgusting” is that it was disrespectful and ugly how you could do that to another human being even if they were a different culture and from another religion.

I recommend this movie to 14 year old and up because there is nudity and a lot of inappropriate scenes but I think it will give a lot of knowledge/affectance about how things have changed because of this Movie. Why I think that age is appropriate is because my class has seen it and we’re 14.

What was the particular reason why the Nazi’s were adamant to kill the Jews?

Human Rights

In the past week being back from the holidays, in social studies we've been learning comparing human rights such as the Universal declaration of human rights and Te riti o Waitangi.  So the similarities between these two human rights are that there culture is both Maori even though UDOHR is written in English and TROW is written in Maori. They are both signed years ago and can also relate to the agreements because they both turned out to what life is today and how it has completely changed how things are in the way of good. The government cooperates with them two through engaging with the Maori community, equity for Maori and power sharing. The differences between the two topics are TROW has 3 rights/rules and UDOHR has 31 rights/rules. As I said before both of the topics are written in two different languages. One last differences between both of the topics is that they both got signed in two different dates. This sums up some of the things I've learnt in the past week.
